Is there any Negative Marking in LIC AAO 2019 Exam?

LIC AAO Negative Marking Doubt Clarification

In its detailed notification, LIC has not mentioned anything regarding Negative Marking in LIC AAO Prelims and Mains Examination. You can go through detailed LIC AAO Notification 2019 here.

But now, after the release of LIC AAO Prelims Admit Card, LIC has clarified that there is no negative marking in the LIC AAO Prelims exam.

The below screenshot is from the information handout & it clearly says that there is no negative marking in LIC AAO Prelims exam 2019. 

LIC has mentioned the following points related to ‘score arrival procedure’ for LIC AAO Exam 2019 –

1. The number of questions answered Correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Score.

2. The score so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the Equated Scores. Scores obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms.

3. Test wise scores and scores on total are reported with the decimal point up to two digits.  

4. The scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using an equipercentile equating method.

5. Candidate MUST obtain minimum qualifying marks in each Section separately and should also obtain minimum marks in the aggregate to qualify for the examinations (Preliminary and Main) and the interview.
