Major Highlights of IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam 2017
- The most important change in the prelims exam of IBPS Clerk conducted on 2nd and 3rd December was that unlike previously conducted exams of IBPS this year, there was no slot-wise variation in the topics. i.e. the topics asked from different sections were common for each slot of IBPS Clerk Prelims exam.
- The only variation was introduced in the last shift of the exam conducted on 3rd December, where the topics of English Language section were changed.
- The overall level of each shift of IBPS Clerk Prelims 2017 can be categorized into Easy to Moderate level. Almost all the topics asked in this exam were doable.
- There was no major pattern change introduced by IBPS in any topic this year. The only change was in the manner of asking the question, especially in the English section. The pattern of Filler based questions was slightly changed, but doable.
Trend Analysis of Numerical Ability section of IBPS Clerk Prelims 2017
- The overall pattern of Numerical Ability section for each slot of IBPS Clerk Prelims 2017 was exactly similar to the exam conducted last year.
- The topics and the number of questions asked from them were on exactly similar lines as that of the exam conducted in 2016.

Important Tips to Crack IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam for the Upcoming Slots:
- English section was a bit time consuming for a lot of students, so, we would advise you to first finish off the other 2 sections of the exam and then move on to this section.
- Try to start with Numerical Ability Section and attempt the questions in the order given below:
1. Simplification/ Approximation
2. Data Interpretation
3. Number Series
4. Arithmetic Questions
The pattern of Numerical ability section is expected to remain the same for upcoming shifts as well. - Next, move on to the Reasoning section and start with topics like Inequality, Syllogism and Series based questions. You can start with puzzles & arrangement questions once you are done with these. Make sure that you do not spend more than 3-4 minutes on any puzzle or arrangement question.
- Divide your time efficiently among all the 3 sections. Ideally, you should devote 20-25 minutes for Numerical Ability, almost 20 minutes for Reasoning and 15 minutes for English Section in the upcoming slots of the IBPS Clerk Prelims exam.
