6 Month Study Plan for NTA UGC NET 2022 Exam [Proven Strategy]

UGC NET Exam is conducted by NTA is select eligible candidates for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). As per UGC, only 6% of candidates are shortlisted out of applicants who appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Therefore, to beat the completion it is essential to be well prepared for the upcoming UGC NET 2022 exam.

UGC NET Preparation Strategy and Tips 2022

There are a few things that must be adhered to before you jump into the preparation.

  • Clarity of the syllabus and the exam pattern

It is highly recommended that you are through with the UGC NET syllabus as it assists you to plan your preparation easily. It will also give you an insight into the time needed to prepare the complete syllabus.

The understanding of the UGC NET exam pattern further helps you determine how and what to study in a topic.

  • Do not skip previous year papers

Solve a few previous year UGC NET question papers to determine the grade of questions asked in the examination. You can also determine and categorise the topics as per your strengths and weaknesses. This exercise will help you design your 3-month study plan as you can prioritise and revise the weaker topics.

  • Gather your resources

You must take guidance from your mentors & toppers of the exam to curate a list of books to refer to. Keep the book list finite and revise them numerous times.   •  For Junior Research Fellowship the candidate can have 3 attempts and there is no age or number of attempts limit for UGC NET Assistant Professor posts.

  • UGC NET & JRF are the same exams. The top 6% of students who qualify NET exam get JRF. So candidates need more marks for JRF as compared to NET.

  • There are 2 papers in UGC NET 2022 Exam. Paper-1 is to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate and Paper - 2 is subject-based to check the subject knowledge.
