Punjab Assistant Professor Eligibility Criteria 2021

• Only the candidates with a good academic record, having 55% marks in their post graduation or equivalent Grade B on the 7 point scale in any recognized Indian Institution or equivalent degree from any recognized degree from a foreign university will be eligible for Punjab Assistant Professor posts.  SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / PWD candidates have 5% relaxation.
• The candidate should have passed matriculation from Punjabi as a compulsory subject.
• National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or SET/SLET shall remain the Minimum Eligibility Condition for the post of assistant professor in Punjab.

Exemptions:

• Candidates who have been awarded a PhD Degree in a regular mode will be exempted from the minimum requirement of UGC NET.
• NET/SET/SLET shall not be the compulsion for the subjects in which the said exams are not conducted. 

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 37 Years 
• There will be a 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit for SC/ST/SEBC/Women candidates and a 10-year relaxation for PWD candidates.

The application form will begin in October 2021 and will end on 8th November 2021. Please note that candidates must meet the Punjab Assistant Professor eligibility criteria prior to submitting their application online. Punjab Assistant Professor Selection Procedure 2021

• Candidates will be solely on the marks attained in the written test.
• All the qualified candidates will be called for document verification in the order of merit. 
• After the successful document verification, candidates will receive the appointment letters.
• The Part-time/ Guest Faculty working in government colleges will have extra weightage.  

 Punjab Assistant Professor Salary 2021

• The selected candidates will be paid a basic salary of Rs. 56,100/- per month. 
• The selected candidates will have the probation period first.
• The probation period will be 3 years.
