Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Professor at University of Delhi

Check the detailed DU Assistant Professor eligibility 2021 below. It is advisable to go through the eligibility before applying online. 

Either (A or B):

A. 

1. A master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale if the grading system is applied) in a relevant/relevant/related subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from an accredited university abroad.
2. Doctorate Degree in a relevant subject from an Indian university or equivalent degree from an accredited university abroad.
3. In addition to meeting the above qualifications, the candidate must have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR (the NET exemption is provided in accordance with sections (ii) and (iii) of the General Notice).

B. 

1. The PhD. degree of a foreign university/institution ranked in the Top 500 in the world university ranking (at any time) was obtained by one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) The Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

Salary and Job Profile of Assistant Professor in Delhi University

• Assistant Professor- Academic  Level 10 (level 57,700-1,82,400).
• Job profile will include Teaching the students pursuing graduation.
• Maintaining the record of students that they are teaching and mentoring them for higher studies/research
• Along with teaching, assistant professors are also in administrative and curricular activities of the college.
• Further, they are supposed to conduct research for enhancing their career prospects
