UPSSSC JE Selection Process 2022: Written Exam, Interview, DV (Civil & Mechanical)

UPSSSC JE Selection Process

The selection process of the UPSSSC Junior Engineer 2021 exam conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) involves three stages: written exam, interview, and document verification. The first step of the UPSSSC JE Selection Process is the submission of an online application. After the online application, you will be called for the written exam. All the written qualified candidates will be called for an Interview. All candidates must check the selection process before strategizing their preparation for the exam.

The UPSSSC JE exam has two rounds: a written exam and an Interview. The commission will call all the candidates who had applied for the written exam. The marks scored in the written exam have a good weightage in the final selection. Check UPSSSC JE exam stages:

UPSSSC JE Exam Pattern

The UPSSSC JE (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical) exam has two papers. The first paper is non-technical which includes Hindi & English, Reasoning, G.K, Computer knowledge whereas the second paper has only technical questions from your stream. Check the UPSSSC JE exam pattern in the table below.

Important Points:

  • The exam will be offline
  • The questions will be multiple-choice questions.
  • The time duration for each paper is 2 hours.
  • There is a negative marking of ¼ marks on that question.

UPSSSC JE Interview

All those candidates who had cleared the written exam cut-off marks will be called for UPSSSC JE Interview. Candidates have to qualify written and interview to get their name on the final merit list. 

To get your name on the final merit list you need to score good marks in the Interview. The Interview holds 25% marks in the final merit list. You must prepare hard for the Interview. You have to present all the documents with the photocopy in the Interview. After the Interview, your documents will be verified by the commission.

UPSSSC JE Document Verification

Candidates who clear the interview are called for document verification. The candidates will have to furnish all the documents asked for the UPSSSC JE document verification. The list of documents needed is given below.

  • 10th class certificate and mark sheet
  • 12th class certificate and mark sheet
  • Graduation final mark sheet
  • Graduation certificate
  • Transfer certificate
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • PwD certificate (if applicable), etc.
