Divide the whole preparation into three phases, starting from August 2022.
First Phase: Build Foundation

During the first phase, which should extend to three months or 120 days (August- October), one should entirely focus on NCERT Books for UPSC along with the standard UPSC Books. One should take weekly tests to assess the level of preparation. Current Affairs should be kept in the loop and should be referred to daily. Second Phase: Consolidation of GS Topics and Complete Optional Paper
During the second phase, which should ideally extend from November to January, one should focus entirely on Mains Syllabus and cover the topics that were not covered during the preparation of the Prelims Syllabus. Post this, both the papers of the Optional Subjects for UPSC should be covered entirely. Third Phase: Join Test Series

Fourth Phase: Focus Entirely on Prelims
The fourth phase is integrated with the third phase. From Mid April till a day or two before the UPSC 2023, just focus entirely on the UPSC Prelims and cover all things necessary.
