Hindi Compulsory Paper UPSC is Paper ‘A’ of the UPSC Civil Services Mains exam. It is a compulsory Indian language paper, and it is mandatory to appear for this paper except for candidates belonging to the northeastern states. However, more than 65% of candidates opt for Hindi Compulsory Paper in UPSC even though only 43.63% of the people in India have their mother tongue as Hindi.
