ISRO Scientist Salary Revised After Grade Pay

The 7th Pay commission has changed the ISRO Scientist Engineers' salary and allowances. The monthly basic pay of INR 15,600 has been increased with grade pay of INR 6,600. The maximum monthly salary for an ISRO Scientist Engineer is INR 80,000 with the consequent increase in the grade pay. The details of the same are given below.

ISRO Scientist Engineer Allowances

  • The dearness allowance will be revised twice a year. As per the records of 0215, the DA for ISRO Scientist Engineer is 113% every month.
  • According to the Government of India Rule, HRA allowance depends on the city they are posted s. The HRA allowances given to the employees vary from 10% – 30% of the basic pay.
  • The transport allowance varies from INR 400 to INR 3,200 depending on the grade of pay and the city of posting.
  • Dearness allowance on transport allowance is also being given.

ISRO Selection Process

The ISRO recruitment selection process consists of two stages- Stage I includes a written test and stage II comprises a personal interview or special assessment depending upon the post applied.

  • The written test is the first level of screening for recruitment.
  • The score of the written test will not be counted for the final selection process.
  • Based on their performance in the Written Test, students will be short-listed for the next level, for example, an Interview.
  • The final selection will be made based on the performance of the candidates in the Interview.
  • The candidates who will score a minimum of 60% marks in the interview will be eligible for consideration for empanelment in the selection panel, in the order of merit.
