Step 1: Visit the Official Website of DBT JRF at dbt.nta.ac.in

Step 2: Click on the 'Result' Option given on the screen.

Step 3: Now fill in the required details such as the Application Number and Password

Step 4: Click on the 'Submit' Button given

• Click on the Download Result, there is an option given for 'Forgotten Password' 
• Click on the 'forgotten Password' 
• Enter your User Id along with the Captcha asked
• Click on the link 'Get Password'
• Check the registered E-mail Id for the new Password.

The Candidates can activate their fellowship after joining the university/institute, within 2 years from the date of issuance of the DBT JRF 2022 Award Letter. The DBT JRF Fellowship will be activated from the date of issuance of the award letter, or the date of joining the university/Institute (whichever comes later). 
The candidates who come under Category I can activate their fellowship on joining Ph.D.

The candidates under the Category II will be considered eligible for joining DBT-sponsored research projects and can apply for the Ph.D. Projects as per the institutional norms.

The candidates who look forward to applying for the DBT JRF Exam have to go through a few selection processes to pursue Research in the Biotechnology through DBT JRF programme. Here are those few selection processes mentioned below.

Step 1: The first step is to register yourself for the DBT JRF Exam. The candidates have to register themselves online by visiting the application portal of the DBT JRF. The Eligible candidates have to enter the required details and documents while applying online for the examination. The candidates are also asked to submit a specific fee amount in order to register themselves successfully. 

Step 2: The candidates who successfully register themselves for the examination have to appear for a Computer Based Test (CBT) to qualify for the GAT-B/DBT JRF Exam. The examination is conducted by the National Testing Agency and it consists of two sections. There are 50 compulsory Objective type questions based on General Science, Aptitude, Biotechnology given in Part A, etc. In Section B, there is a total of 150 questions, however, the candidates have to answer only 50 questions. The correct answer fetches 3 Marks and the incorrect answer will cost the negative marking of 1 Mark in each section.

Step 3- The National Testing Agency releases the merit lists based on two categories that are according to the performance of the candidates in the exam.
