HPPSC AE Vacancy 2021 Details

There is a total of 40 vacancies in the MPP AND POWER (HPPTCL) department released under the HPPSC AE recruitment 2021 notification for different posts. Out of a total of 40 posts, there are 35 Vacancies for electrical engineering, and civil engineering posts are given in the table below:

HPSSC AE Eligibility Criteria & Selection Procedure 2021

Discipline	Educational Qualification
ASSISTANT ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL	Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering discipline with least 55% marks, in case of SC/ST/ Internal HPPTCL candidates and for other categories 60% marks having passed the degree from a recognized University / Institution of India.
Assistant Engineer (Civil)	Degree in Civil Engineering discipline with least 55% marks, in case of SC/ST/ Internal candidates of HPPTCL & for other categories 60% marks having passed the Degree from a recognized University / Institution of India.
Assistant Engineer (Executive Trainee – Electrical)	Full-time B.E./B.Tech. (Electrical) or B.E./B.Tech. (Electrical and Electronics)/M.Tech.(Electrical)/Post Graduate Diploma in Hydro Power Plant Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute of India with at least 55% marks in case of SC/ST/internal (HPPCL) candidates

It is desirable to have Knowledge of dialects, customs, and manner of Himachal Pradesh for the appointment in Himachal Pradesh.

Age Limit

Age Limit: 18-30 years
Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/ PH & other categories in upper age limit will be as per Himachal Pradesh Govt.
Instructions. For Govt. employees of Himachal Pradesh, there is no age relaxation.
For internal candidates of HPPCL, there is no age bar.

HPPSC AE Selection Procedure 2021

Selection Examination

The examination test will be conducted in two Stages if the number of applications is high.
Stage 1 – Screening Test
Stage 2 – Personality Test
If the number of applications is reasonable, there will be a direct personality Test
Minimum pass marks in Computer Based Test / Offline Test (objective or descriptive) are 25% for the candidates of the General category and 20% for the candidates of reserved categories.
The final selection of a candidate will be made solely on the basis of his/ her performance in the Personality Test, which will be of a maximum of 100 marks.
The minimum pass marks in the personality test are 45 for the candidates of the general category and 35 marks for the
candidates of reserved categories.

HPPSC AE Syllabus 2021

There will be an objective type screening test consisting of one paper of 100 questions for the time duration of two hours:-
(i) 80 Questions: Technical Section of multiple choice of BE/B.Tech level
(ii) 10 Questions: General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh
(iii)10 Questions: National and International affairs.

Application Fee

Application fees will be accepted only through the online mode.
Any other mode of payment i.e.Cheque, Money Order, Demand Draft, Postal Order, Cash, etc. is not acceptable.
