RSMSSB JE Eligibility: Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the required educational qualification as prescribed in the RSMSSB JE eligibility criteria. They should hold a degree or diploma in the concerned discipline to participate in the exam. Following are the RSMSSB JE educational qualification for the upcoming recruitment.

  • The candidates should have qualified BE/BTech or must have a diploma in either Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognised Institute of university. 
  • The candidates should also have knowledge of Rajasthan culture, traditions and customs. 
  • The candidates must know Hindi in the Devanagari script.

RSMSSB JE Age Limit

As per the RSMSSB JE age limit, the minimum age to apply for the exam is 18 years whereas the maximum age is 40 years as of 1 January 2024. Candidates who are falling in this age bracket are eligible for writing the exam. Reserved category candidates shall be eligible for age relaxation as per the government rule.

RSMSSB JE Age Relaxation

The category-wise age relaxation for the post of Junior Engineer as per the notification of RSMSSB JE is mentioned below.

  • General Women candidates – 5 years
  • SC/ST/OBC/ BC (Men residing in Rajasthan) – 5 years
  • SC/ST/OBC/BC (Women residing in Rajasthan) – 10 years
  • Ex-servicemen – 5 years

Other Eligibility Criteria for RSMSSB JE

RSMSSB has specified some other eligibility criteria for the recruitment of Junior Engineer which are as follows: 

  • The candidates must be a citizen of India/  Nepal / Bhutan / Tibetan Refugee residing in India since 1962
  • There is no limitation in the number of attempts as long as you fulfil the RSMSSB JE age limit. 
  • Candidates who are already working in any Govt. organisation should ensure that they provide the No Objection Certificate (NOC).

  • RSMSSB JE eligibility criteria is the minimum qualification that candidates must fulfill in order to appear in the exam. The eligibility criteria is precribed by the concerned authortity of Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board.

  • According to RSMSSB JE eligibility, the candidate should have a BE/ BTech degree or diploma in the concerned stream to fulfil the educational qualification. Any candidate not holding the required degree or diploma is ineligible.

  • There is no mention of the number of attempts in the official notice for the RSMSSB JE exam. Thus, you can appear for multiple times for the exam up to the specified age limit.
