RRB JE Exam Pattern 2023
The details of the exam pattern will be provided in the official notification. RRB JE exam consists of two computer-based tests, CBT 1 and CBT 2. It is essential for candidates to familiarize themselves with the RRB JE exam pattern and marking scheme. Apart from the exam pattern, the RRB JE Syllabus is equally important to score good marks in the exam.
According to the RRB JE exam pattern, CBT 1 will be conducted for a total of 100 marks whereas CBT 2 will be organized for 150 marks. After the successful conclusion of the exam, document verification and medical examination will take place. Hence, the RRB JE exam pattern will cover the following topics:
- 1st stage of the exam: CBT 1
- 2nd stage of the exam: CBT 2

RRB JE CBT 1 Exam Pattern
CBT 1 is the first stage of the RRB JE selection process. It is the preliminary exam passing which candidates will advance to the next stage of the recruitment process i.e. CBT 2. We have provided the key points about the RRB JE CBT 1 exam pattern below so that candidates are familiar with the exam before taking it.
- The RRB JE CBT 1 will have a total of 100 objective types of questions.
- The total duration of the exam is 1 Hour and 30 Minutes.
- There will be 4 sections in the RRB JE CBT 1namely Maths, Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science.
- As per RRB JE negative marking scheme, 0.33 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer in CBT 1 exam.

RRB JE CBT 2 Exam Pattern
RRB JE exam pattern for CBT 2 differs slightly from that of CBT 1. Candidates who pass CBT 1 will be invited to take CBT 2. - CBT 2 will be conducted for 150 marks.
- The Technical Ability section has a maximum weightage of 100 marks in the CBT 2 paper.
- Further, the duration of the exam is 2 Hours.
- A virtual calculator will be made available on the Computer Screen during RRB JE CBT 2.
- 0.33 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer in CBT 2.

RRB JE CBT 2 Qualifying Marks

RRB JE Document Verification
The candidates who will qualify CBT 1 & CBT 2 are allowed to appear for the RRB JE document verification. Such candidates will have to produce their original documents along with a photocopy of the same. We have provided you with a list of documents that will be required by you during the RRB JE document verification.
Documents Required for RRB JE
Candidates should have all the required documents at the time of document verification. Following is the list of documents that will be verified at the time of RRB JE document verification.
- Class 10th and 12th Certificate or Equivalent certificate like Proof of Date of Birth (DOB).
- Diploma / Engineering/Science Degree Certificate along with Semester wise Mark Sheets are needed.
- SC/ST/OBC-NCL certificates if applicable.
- Income Certificates of candidates
- J & K Domicile Certificate
- Receipt of payment in case of an SBI Challan or Post Office payment
- Minority Community certificates of candidates.
- NOC certificate for candidates working in Defence/PSU/Govt. job/PSU
- Self–Declaration for Ex-Service Personnel
- Decree of divorce or judicial separation and Affidavit mentioning the candidate has not remarried
- Death Certificate and Affidavit mentioning the candidate has not remarried

RRB JE Medical Test
