JSSC JE Selection Process for Written Exam
The first stage of the JSSC JE selection process is the written exam. Aspirants who qualify for the JSSC JE written examination will only be called for further process of selection.
- The written exam will consist of two papers. Paper 1 & Paper 2.
- Aspirants have to complete paper 1 within 2 hours from the examination start time.
- While the JSSC JE exam paper 2 will have questions from Civil/Electrical/Mechanical engineering and this paper should also be completed within 2 hours time.

JSSC JE Selection Process for Document Verification (DV)
On the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the Jharkhand Staff Selection Junior Engineer written exam a list of selected candidates will be published. The listed candidates will be then called for the JSSC JE document verification process. Communication regarding the Document verification venue, date of JSSC JE DV, and other details will be done on a timely basis. However, below we have provided a list of documents that an aspirant needs to produce in original and a photocopy of the same at the time of the JSSC Jr. Engg. Document Verification process.
- Aspirants have to present original Degrees/Certificates/Diploma and mark sheets of the qualifying examination as per the requirement.
- An updated domicile proof of Jharkhand State in the specified format laid down by the authority.
- Class 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates issued by the state or central board.
- Photo-Identity Proof (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Driver’s License, Passport, etc.)
- Updated & original caste certificate if applicable.
- Letter/ Certificate of Work Experience
- PWD certificate, if applicable
- Passport-size photograph

Final Selection for JSSC JE Exam
The final selection of the aspirants for the JSSC JE exam will be done after verifying all the documents of the candidates. The marks scored by the candidates in the written exam will be used to determine the merit list of successful candidates eligible for an appointment. Upon successful completion of the Document Verification, the authorities will release the list of selected candidates in order of merit who will be appointed to the post of Junior Engineer in Jharkhand State different departments as per the vacancies.
