JSSC JE Exam Pattern for Street Light & Pipeline Inspector

The question paper of Street Light Inspector and Pipeline Inspector shall comprise only one paper i.e. Paper 1. There will be a total of 180 questions for which candidates will be allocated 3 hours. JSSC JE Document Verification

JSSC JE document verification is the second and final stage of the selection process. After the completion of the written exam, the candidates who will obtain JSSC JE cut off marks shall be called to appear for the document verification (DV) process. JSSC JE document verification process is carried out to validate the eligibility as per the JSSC JE Eligibility Criteria. You will be required to carry all of your original documents along with a photocopy of the same.

JSSC JE Exam Pattern FAQs

  • JSSC JE Exam Pattern 2023 consists of a written test which will consist of 2 papers. Paper 1 will be general in nature while PAper 2 will be subject-specific. All the questions will be set in both MCQ English & Hindi language. There will be 240 questions for a total of 720 marks.

  • Yes, there is a provision of negative marking in JSSC JE i.e. 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Hence candidates should mark the answer only if they are sure about it. 

  • JSSC JE document verification is the final stage of JSSC JE selection process wherein candidates have to furnish documents which will help authorities cross-verify the eligiblity claims made by the candidate during the application process.

  • As per JSSC JE marking scheme, for each correct answer, the candidate is awarded 3 marks whereas for each wrong answer 1 mark is deducted. No marks are awarded or deducted for an unanswered question.

  • As per the JSSC JE exam pattern,  the duration of the exam is 2 hours each for both papers. The total JSSC JE duration is 4 hours.

  • The total marks of JSSC JE is 740 marks. Paper 1 and Paper 2 carries 360 marks each. On the other hand, the total marks for Street Light Inspector & Pipeline Inspector is 540.

  • JSSC JE exam is conducted in online mode i.e. it is a Computer Based Test (CBT). The language of the question papers are English and Hindi.
