GPSSB AE Eligibility 2022: Educational Qualification and Age Limit

GPSSB Assistant Engineer eligibility criteria must be known by the aspirants who are applying for the post of Assistant Engineer. Before applying for the exam, candidates must meet the GPSSB AE eligibility requirements. The candidate's educational qualification, age limit, and other relevant eligibility criteria are all part of the GPSSB AE eligibility criteria.

The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil) or (Electrical) from a recognised university, as well as fluency in Gujarati, Hindi, or both languages.

The eligibility age limit is 35 years, with additional relaxations granted to candidates who belong to a specific community, as determined by government rules.

The GPSSB Assistant Engineer Eligibility criteria include age, educational qualifications and many more criteria.  Candidates must meet all of the requirements outlined in the eligibility section in order to be considered for the post. The Selection Board grants reserved category candidates certain age relaxations in addition to the age limit provided in the GPSSB AE Eligibility Criteria. If the Board believes that candidates do not meet the GPSSB Assistant Engineer Eligibility Criteria, they may be rejected.

• Full-time B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent is also acceptable or three-year diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
• Candidates must have a strong understanding of the Gujrati/Hindi language.

To apply for the GPSSB AE post, there is a criterion for age limit also. The minimum age to apply for the post of GPSSB Assistant Engineer is 18 years and the maximum age to apply for this post is 34 years.

Relaxations in the maximum age limit have been granted to candidates of various categories in accordance with government laws.

• Candidates who fall into more than one category will be eligible for only one age relaxation benefit, whichever is deemed to be the most beneficial to them.
• It's important to remember that the date of birth entered on the high school diploma or similar document issued by the Board / Council is the only one that the commission will accept.
• The age relaxation for candidates in various categories shall be determined by the government rules in effect at the time. 

Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the given nationality criteria to apply for the GPSSB AE exam.

• A candidate must be an Indian citizen
• Candidate of Bhutan or Nepal, a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India permanently before January 1, 1962.
• A person of Indian descent from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, or Vietnam

To be eligible for this exam, the candidate must meet the GPSSB’s physical standards.

• The candidate must be in good mental and physical health, and free of any physical defects that would prevent him from performing his duties in the military.
• Candidates with OA, OL, or HH disabilities are eligible to apply (percentage of disability i.e. Here considering PD between 40 per cent to 100 per cent). Candidates with physical limitations other than those listed are ineligible to apply.
• Every candidate for an appointment is subjected to a medical examination by the government's medical board.
• A candidate who does not meet the Medical Board's requirements will not be appointed.

• The maximum number of attempts permitted to a candidate has not been established by the GPSSB.
• However, the GPSSB has placed an age limit, which implies that candidates can only apply until they are 35 years old.
