Main Functions of Rajya Sabha

The upper house of India’s bicameral Parliament is known as the Rajya Sabha, or Council of States in accordance with its constitution. The Rajya Sabha performs more than just the aforementioned tasks. The Rajya Sabha serves as both a federal chamber and a forum for debate. Judicial Functions	Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha can impeach the President in case of violation of the constitution.
Electoral Functions	Rajya Sabha members, along with Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assembly members, can elect the President and Vice President of India.
Amendment Functions	Rajya Sabha can pass a constitutional amendment bill together with the Lok Sabha, with a 2/3 majority in each house.
