Are Final Year Students Eligible for UPSC?
Yes, Final Year Students are eligible for UPSC however the process would be different. Below we have discussed guidelines for all the final year students who are interested in applying for UPSC.
- The final-year students can apply for the UPSC Prelims Exam if they meet the age limit criteria.
- Candidates with a professional or technical degree can also apply.
- Those candidates who clear UPSC Prelims and get selected for Mains need to submit proof of their passing the university exam along with their UPSC DAF application. Only after that will they be allowed to appear in Mains.
- If the candidates fail to provide the required proof, they will not be allowed to appear in the Mains exam.
Can MBBS Graduates without Internships Apply for UPSC Mains Exam?
MBBS graduates who are yet to complete their internship are also eligible for the UPSC Mains. They will be provisionally admitted to the exam, but they have to submit a copy of the certificate from an authorized university that they have cleared the final medical examination. In such cases, the MBBS candidates are required to submit the original degree or certificate during the IAS Interview.
