Is JEE compulsory for TES of Indian Army &10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Navy ?

JEE Main is compulsory under the ‘Technical Entry Scheme of Indian Army, & 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Navy. According to the notification for , passing JEE Main is required for the TES course of Indian Army & Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Navy. The Indian Army has modified the eligibility criterion for applicants applying for the Technical Entry Scheme (TES) following Class XII.

Important Information Regarding TES & 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Navy
The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) scorecard required to apply for the TES course of Indian Army & 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Navy. Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as obligatory subjects in Class XII and have obtained at least 70% of the marks. In addition to the existing criteria, qualifying for JEE Main 2021 will be required.

Entry Training Period |
TES is a 5-year training program that begins at the Training Academy and finishes with candidates being commissioned into the Indian army at the rank of Lieutenant. Basic military and technical training are included in the 5-year program. The overall training time is divided into two phases: phase 1 is one year of basic military training at the Officer’s Training Academy Gaya, while phase 2 is three years of pre-commission training and one year of post-commission training at CME Pune, MCTE Mhow, or MCEME Secunderabad. |
On completion of the selection process, the candidates will train in the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala for a four-year B.Tech degree course under the 10+2 (B.Tech) 2022 Cadet Entry Scheme. |

JEE Main is a national-level entrance exam that is used to offer admission to engineering programs at several top colleges across the country. The top 2.5 lakh students will be invited to compete in JEE Advanced 2021.
