Memory Based Physics Questions Asked in Air Force X & Y 2021 Exam
Q1. On Increasing resistance of the circuit then power
Ans. The power dissipated in a resistor is given by P = V2/R which means power decreases if resistance increases.
Q2. What will be the dimension of Pressure ??
Ans. Pressure (P) = Force × Area-1 = the pressure is dimensionally represented as M^1 L^-1T^-2
Q3. What do you get by Boyle's law?
Ans. The pressure of a given mass of an ideal gas is inversely proportional to its volume at a constant temperature.
P1V1 =P2V2
Q4. What is effect on volume if temperature of the gas increases at constant pressure
Ans.
The volume of the gas increases as the temperature increases.
As temperature increases, the molecules of the gas have more kinetic energy. They strike the surface of the container with more force.
Q5. If oil is filled in a container and acceleration is applied on it then what will the effect on the surface of oil be?
Ans.
Let we give acceleration to the container from point A towards B. Then Level of the oil’s surface in the container will change. And due to the height of the oil’s surface or level of the oil’s surface the pressure will be different at every point of the surface of the oil.
Q6. If the length of two pendulums are given as h and 2h then what will be the ratio of their time period.
Ans. Under root (2)
Sol.
Let Time period is T1 and T2
Time period of Pendulum = Under root ( g / h )
Then, T1/T2 = Under root ( 2h/h ) = under root (2)
Q7. What will be the energy at the mean position of a SHM motion ? or
In a SHM Motion, what will be kinetic energy at Mean Position ?
Ans.
At the mean position, the velocity of the particle in S.H.M. is maximum and displacement is minimum, that is, x=0. Thus, the total energy in simple harmonic motion is purely kinetic and that will be maximum.
Q8. The temperature of a gas is raised from 27 C to 327 C. Then find the ratio of root mean square speed -
Ans.
T1 = 27 C = (27 +273)K = 300K
T2 = 327 C = (327 +273) K = 600K
Rms Velocity Directly proportional to under root of temperature.
Then ratio = ( under root ( 300K))/(Under root (600K) = Under root (½)
Q9. at a certain height from the surface of the earth the value of gravity is 1/16 times of its original value at the surface of the earth then find the height ?
( M = Mass of Earth, R = Radius of earth and g= gravity of the earth )
Ans.
g = (G*M)/R^2
Now Gravity at height h
g’ = ( G * M ) / (R+h)^2
g/g’ = ( R +h)^2/R^2
16 = ( R +h)^2/R^2
4 = (R+h)/(R)
3R = h
Q10. if the resistance of a coil is 5 ohm in DC Circuit. Then the resistance in AC –
Ans.
In an AC circuit the effective resistance of a coil is due to the DC resistance and the inductance of the Coil.
It means that the resistance will increase in AC.
R ( effective) = √ (R^2 + XL^2)
