Indian Air Force Group X & Y Result 2021 (Soon): The Indian Air Force has released the notification on its official site for the Airmen Group X and Y Exam 2021 (STAR 01/2021). Candidates can check their results by visiting the official website of IAF. The exam for Group X & Y of the Indian Air Force was conducted between 12th – 18th July 2021. Earlier, the results for the Indian Air Force Group X & Y 2021 (Star 01/2022) exam were scheduled to be declared on October 1, 2021. However, it later got delayed due to unavoidable administrative reasons.

Selection Process of Airmen Group X & Y in Indian Air Force

The entire selection process is divided into the following stages. The Indian Air Force Group X & Y exam is divided into three stages. In the following article, we will discuss all the stages of the Indian Air Force Group X & Y exam.

Stage 1: Online Test

Group X

Total Questions: 70

Physics: 25

Mathematics: 25

English: 20

Time: 60 Minutes

Group Y

Total Questions: 50

Reasoning and general awareness: 30

English: 20

Time 45 Minutes

Those candidates who clear stage 1 of the examination are eligible for stage 2

Stage 2

This Stage is divided into 3 parts:

Part 1: Physical Fitness Test

Running: 1.6 Kilometers in 6 Minutes & 30 Seconds
20 Squats
10 push-ups
10 sit-ups

Part 2

Situation Reaction Test: In this test, candidates are tested for different situations, how they react to them. It is one of the most important tests of the entire selection process where a candidate is tested for practical as well as mental ability.

Part 3

Group Discussion: This process consists of a group of 10-15 candidates. The Group Discussion is an excellent way for the assessor to check the knowledge of a candidate on issues related to current events. Also, it is a tool for accessors to check the communication skill of the candidates.

Stage 3: Medical Exam

This is the last stage of the selection process, candidates are checked up for their medical fitness.

As per the local media reports, the provisional selection list is now expected to be announced in the month of December 2021. However, the enrollment list for intake will be released soon on Indian Air Force official website. Candidates are advised to check the official website to get further details on Air Force STAR 1 Result 2021.
