BARC has released notification for vacancies of Scientific Officers. This vacancy is for students from the Engineering and Science disciplines. Students after selection will be trained for one year in BARC training schools. 

The courses are called OCES(Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and SciencePostgraduates) and DGFS(DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates). Scientific officers will be recruited in the DAE(Department of Atomic Energy).

Students can also register themselves for the screening process based on their GATE score. Students who wish to register for that are advised to fill it out before February 11, 2022. No applicants will be entertained by the BARC officials after the mentioned date. 

BARC Scientific Officer Eligibility Criteria

Students falling under the BARC Scientific Officer eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. The eligibility criteria for the BARC Scientific Officer is mentioned below:

• Students from Engineering disciplines(B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) / 5-year Integrated M.Tech.) from the mentioned branches with a minimum 60% aggregate marks: ME, CH, MT, EE, EC, CS, IN, CE, NE
• For Physics/ Chemistry disciplines: M.Sc in the respective discipline along with a minimum 60% aggregate marks. (M.Sc.(by research) and Ph.D. candidates are not eligible for the post.)
• For Radiological Safety & Environmental Science: Students with above 60% aggregate marks in B.E. / B.Tech / 5-year Integrated M.Tech/  B.Sc (Engineering) in Nuclear Science & Technology/ Nuclear Engineering / Nuclear Technology.
• For Geology: Minimum 60% aggregate marks in M.Tech or M.Sc. in n Geology / Applied Geology / Applied Geochemistry(Geology at B.Sc)
• Candidates applying with their GATE Score should have a valid GATE score in GATE-2021 or GATE-2022 in the applied branch.

Step 2: Go to the “Apply Online” link

Step 3: Register using your personal details.

Step 4: Activate the account via OTP delivered to your registered mail or Phone number. 

Step 5: Login via the Candidate login corner.

Step 6: Fill out the application form and submit the application fee.

Step 7: Submit the filled form.

Step 8: Save the unique registration number thus generated. This registration number will be used for further
