The President of the 1916 Lucknow Session was Ambica Charan Mazumdar. Both the 1910 Conference in Calcutta and the Bengal Provincial Conference in Burdwan were presided over by him. He presided over the 31st session of the Indian National Congress in 1916, which saw the signing of the infamous Lucknow Pact between the Congress and the Muslim League and the reunion of the party’s moderates and extremists.
