The Chairman of the Constituent Assembly in India was Dr. Sachidanand Sinha. Provincial Assembly elected the Constituent Assembly of India to draw up the Constitution of India. Its members formed the country’s first parliament, the Provisional Parliament of India after India gained independence from British rule in 1947.

The purpose of electing the Constituent Assembly of India was to frame the country’s Constitution. A Constituent Assembly resolution is given to MN Roy, a proponent of radical democracy and a leader of the communist movement in India. This was his idea in December 1934.
It was a unicameral body with 389 elected members; After the official partition of India and Pakistan, this number fell to 299 members. The Legislative Assembly was convened for the first time in New Delhi on 9 December and was reconstituted for the last time on 24 January 1950.
The Constituent Assembly, a collection of elected officials, drafted and approved the constitution. Dr. Satchidanand Sinha served as the first Speaker and temporary Chairman of the Constituent Assembly. Later, the group elected Dr. Rajendra Prasad and HC Mukherjee as its President and Vice-Chairman, respectively.
