Mir Bakshi was responsible for gathering intelligence and recommending people for military promotions and appointments accordingly. Mir Bakshi’s position was as the head of military administration in the Mughal Empire. King Akbar introduced the Mansabdari system, which defined the rank of Mir Bakshi.

Responsibility of Mir Bakshi
The title of military general was called Mir Bakshi in the Delhi Sultanate and under the rule of King Akbar. He oversaw all military rule. Accounting for the prompt payments of the military force and altering military strategies were some of Mir Bakshi’s main duties.
