Don’t eliminate an option before thinking about it for at least a few seconds. Sometimes simple questions were written up in complicated language. Whenever you chose a question, MAKE SURE YOU READ IT PROPERLY. No matter how interesting an answer is, if it answers the wrong question, it’ll probably impact your score.
  2. Divide your time: Before an exam, when you have read every question carefully make a plan of how long you’re going to spend on each thing and then stick to it. All good rank holder knows how they’re going to approach a paper, and how to portion out their time so that they don’t run out.
  3. Start with what you can do and come back to the rest: Many aspirants think that firstly they will solve the hard questions and then in the remaining time solve easy questions. Don’t do this mistake, always go with a favorite topic, or a question that you know you can nail, doing something like that early will makes you feel confident. And then go for difficult questions.
  4. Practice Mocks & Previous year Paper as many as you can: It will give you a general idea of the upcoming paper and you could easily guess the important topics of a particular subject.  Once you start solving the Mocks & previous year’s papers, you familiarise your mind with the kind of question paper you get to solve in the final examination. Solving mocks will also help you keep a record of time so that you do not end up wasting managing your time poorly.
  5. Make sure to review your paper: After attempting the paper make sure to take some time to review it. Sometimes students mistakenly chose the wrong answer even though they knew the correct one. So when you take a final glance at your paper, you can get rid of these silly mistakes.
