The University of Mysore will soon hold the Karnataka State Eligibility Test. The organization administering the exam has not yet posted an official notification on its website. Candidates must know the KSET Exam Pattern 2022 in detail to prepare well for qualifying for the position of assistant professor in the state of Karnataka. The exam typically consists of two exams; Paper I is required of everyone, and Paper II assesses the candidate's subject-specific knowledge. 

To successfully receive the appointment letter for the Assistant Professorship post, candidates must complete both papers. Before beginning any exam preparation, candidates should be familiar with the KSET Exam Pattern 2022 to plan and focus only on the needed topics.

KSET Exam Pattern 2022

According to the KSET Exam Pattern 2022, there will be two papers: Paper I and Paper II. A different combined session is held on the same day to administer both KSET Exam. Candidates must show up for both papers to pass the exam. There are multiple-choice questions contained on both papers (MCQs). There are 50 MCQs in Paper I and 100 MCQs in Paper 2. Each question on both exams is worth two marks. It is an offline (pen and paper) examination. 

Paper-I will be a required paper that focuses on general teaching and research aptitude. In contrast, Paper II will be a subject-based paper that focuses on the subjects that the candidates choose when filling out their application forms. Both papers will be objective in nature. Candidates must review the KSET Exam Pattern 2022, which highlights the exam's overall structure, including the number of sections, total marks, marking structure, duration of the exam, etc., below.

KSET Selection Process 2022

The written examination will be part of the KSET Selection Process, and the final merit will be determined using the written examination results. There will be two papers in the written KSET 2022 exam. These are what they are:

  • Paper-I: Paper-I is compulsory. Research aptitude and general teaching are the subjects of Phase I. For Paper I, 100 total marks will be awarded.
  • Paper II: This paper is subject-based, and the questions will be objective. 200 marks will be awarded for Paper II as a whole.
