NDA Eligibility Criteria for Girls: Previously, only unmarried male candidates were allowed to take the NDA exam, and female candidates were not. With the latest announcement by the Supreme Court of India, girls and women are now allowed to take the NDA exam in an interim order issued on August 18, 2021.
Although the Supreme Court's decision to let women sit for the NDA 2 2021 exam on November 14, the exam is still not open to women. It should be noted that the application window for the NDA 2 form 2021 is now closed. According to the SC verdict, UPSC may reopen the NDA 2 application window in 2021 for female candidates to apply for the NDA exam.
If the application form windows open again, you will be able to apply for this year solely; otherwise, you will have to wait for the next attempt. The NDA exam occurs twice a year.
Academic qualification, age, marital standards are expected to remain the same for both male and female candidates in NDA. There could be changes in physical standards for female candidates.
NDA Eligibility Criteria 2022 for Women
The eligibility criteria for the NDA exam to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission were set by a couple of conditions. The following are the major components of the UPSC NDA eligibility criteria:

- Physical health

Eligibility Criteria for NDA 2022 - Nationality
An applicant who is an Indian citizen can apply for the UPSC NDA 2022 examination, according to the UPSC NDA notice 2022. Alternatively, they must satisfy any of the Commission's NDA nationality criteria listed below.
- A Nepalese subject or
- A Bhutanese subject
- People of Indian descent returned to India or Vietnam from Zaire, Ethiopia, East African countries Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, Burma, Pakistan, Zambia, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.
- Tibetan refugees arrived in India before January 1, 1962, seeking to cooperate there.
Note: Those who meet any of the four criteria listed above and have a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India are eligible to apply for the UPSC NDA 2022 exam.
NDA Age limit Eligibility Criteria for Women
In the official NDA notification 2022, the Union Public Service Commission stipulates the UPSC age limit. According to the UPSC, aspirants between the ages of 16.5 and 19.5 years for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) 2022 exams can apply online.

Note: As per the Union Public Service Commission's norms, reserved category applicants for the NDA and NA tests are not eligible for age relaxation.
NDA Eligibility Criteria - Academic Qualification
The educational criteria for applying for the UPSC NDA exam and filling out the NDA application form 2022 are also given by the Union Public Service Commission. Aspirants must have completed class 12th from a recognized board to be eligible to take the NDA 2022 exam.
Eligibility Criteria for NDA 2022 - Marital Status
Candidates who want to take the UPSC NDA 1 and 2 2022 exam must be solitary and intend to stay solitary until the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy training begins. If a candidate marries while undergoing UPSC NDA training, he would be expelled from the Academy.
Physical Standard for NDA Eligibility Criteria 2022
Those who pass the NDA & NA 2022 SSB interview will be invited to take the NDA physical fitness or medical test. The authorities will examine the candidate's physical and mental health at this stage.
