What is CMAT Full Form?
The full form of CMAT is Common Management Admission Test. It is an online CBT-based exam, conducted by NTA annually. Candidates who wish to complete MBA FROM an AICTE-affiliated institute can appear for CMAT. It is a national-level MBA Exam and provides an opportunity to study MBA in some recognized universities, including JBIMS Mumbai, GIM Goa, SIMSREE Mumbai, Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai, KJ Somaiya, Welingkar Institute of Management Mumbai and more.

History of CMAT
AICTE-affiliated institutions can shortlist students for MBA admission using the national-level exam CMAT. In 2012, the first CMAT was conducted. It was carried out by AICTE from 2012 to 2017. Since 2018, NTA has been in charge of administering this national MBA exam.
Eligibility Criteria for CMAT
The candidates appearing for the upcoming CMAT must check the official prerequisites that are required to apply for the exam.
- CMAT is only open for Indian nationals only.
- Candidates with bachelor’s degrees in any stream can apply for this exam.
- Final-year students are also eligible to apply for CMAT. But they need to submit their documents before the academic session starts.
- There are no upper age limit specifications as per the official CMAT Eligibility. If the candidates fulfil the basic eligibility they can apply for this exam.
Paper Pattern of CMAT
There are five sections in CMAT: Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Language Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The total exam duration is 3 hours, in which the candidates have to solve 100 MCQ questions (20 questions in each section. The entire process of CMAT Registration is online, The candidates have to complete the online registration on the official CMAT website, fill out the application form and pay the exam fee.
