BHU BLAT Selection and Counseling Process

BLAT Selection Process includes a series of steps beginning from the BLAT Exam 2021. After the results are declared, BLAT Counselling begins for the selected students. To be eligible for the BLAT Exam 2021, you must be eligible as per the parameters given below. 

1. The candidates need to pass 10+2 from a recognized board.
2. The general category needs to secure a minimum of 50% marks, OBC’s 45% and SC/ST 40% to be eligible to sit for the examination.
3. There is no age limit to appear for BLAT Exam. 

BLAT Counselling 2021

BLAT 2021 counselling process will be conducted through online mode (computerized counselling), wherein the candidate will have to register for a counselling session and also pay the counselling fee as per the demand and participate in choice filling & locking.

• The allotment of BLAT 2021 seats will be based on the merit rank of the students and choices entered for admission.
• It is essential to note that document verification will be an integral part of the counselling process, and such candidates who complete the process successfully will be selected for admission.
• Post allotment, candidates who may be considered for up-gradation of seats in subsequent rounds of counselling.

Step-wise guide to BLAT Counselling

Step 1: The candidate needs to download the call letter from the official website of BHU, after logging in on his allotted portal with login credentials (Registered Email Id and password).

Step 2: After logging in and downloading the call letters, the candidate has to give his preference regarding the following:

• Honours Subject (if applicable)
• Hostel option
• Choice of Course
• Preference of location
• Seat Type (Seats with the regular fee or Paid Seat if the regular fee seats are full)

Step 3: Finally the candidate would be required to appear in the online counselling and need to submit all requisite documents.

Documents required For BLAT Counselling

• High School Certificate
• Intermediate certificate
• Mark sheet/Merit List/Rank card of the qualifying examination
• BLAT Admit card
• Certificate in support of sports quota (if applicable)
• SC/ST/OBC certificate (if applicable)
• Certificate of being a child of a permanent employee of BHU (if applicable

What after BLAT Counseling 2021

After the BLAT Counselling. The final process towards getting admission is mentioned below.

• If the candidate is allotted a seat, it will be visible at the allotment page in the counselling portal.
• Once the seat allotment is confirmed, the candidate will need to pay the course fee. The LLB course fee can be paid in both online and offline mode.
• For fee submission only 24 hours time 5 pm are given. Further, no request for an extension in fee submission will be entertained.
• After fee submission, candidates will have to send an email for locking the seat. There will also be an option for an upgrade which is unlikely to be given to candidates choosing LLB courses.
