GATE Result 2023 Validity
GATE result validity is 3 years for the Postgraduate courses, and for PSUs is 1 year. So GATE 2023 result will be valid till 2025, whereas 2023 for PSUs. It is essential for candidates to know that the GATE score validity for PSUs, IITs, and NITs is the same as the GATE result.
The GATE result is the most awaited event for an Engineering graduate hoping for a great employment opportunity in a PSU or a chance to further their education at prominent IITs and NITs. Candidates who have applied for a job at PSU can submit their GATE score 2023, putting them one step closer to PSU employment.
How to Check GATE Result 2023?
IIT Kanpur will publish the GATE 2023 results online. Candidates can go through the following important steps to check the result at the official site:
- First, visit the official site or log in to the GOAPS portal.
- Enter your GATE enrollment ID or email address, as well as your password, to log in.
- Then, select the 'GATE Result' tab.

What After GATE Result 2023?
After declaring the GATE result for all 29 papers, the qualified candidates will be issued the Scorecard. The Scorecard will form the basis for admission to higher studies or a job in PSUs. The qualified individual can apply for PSU jobs or admission to higher education, such as ME/M.tech, in different colleges.
College lists can be broadly classified acc. to the institutes that participated in different admission portals:
- Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) - IISC, IITs and PSUs
- Centralized Counselling for M.TECH./M.ARCH./M.PLAN. Admissions (CCMT) - all NITs, IIEST, some IIITs and GFTIs
- Independent Exams or GATE Score Criteria - Government and Private colleges
GATE 2023 Result Cut Off

GATE Scorecard
After declaring the GATE result 2023, the Scorecard will be made available to all the candidates who secure the cutoff marks. The Scorecard is an important document that must be kept with you. The GATE scorecard must be preserved as it will be needed to secure admission for higher studies or for securing a job in PSUs.
The validity of the Scorecard is up to 3 years. The exact date for its validity will be mentioned in the Scorecard when you download it. However, the validity of the Scorecard will vary for recruitment through PSUs.

- With a decent GATE 2022 score, students can enroll in M.E/ M.Tech courses and Ph.D. programs at various IITs, NITs, and other reputable universities.
- Several overseas universities, including Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), National University of Singapore (Singapore), Technical University of Munich (Germany), and Aachen University (Germany), take GATE scores into account for higher education.
- PSUs, the central government, GOI organizations, and the private sector hire candidates with high GATE scores.
- Suppose an applicant enrolls in a state or national university or institution to pursue higher education. In that case, they will be awarded a scholarship of Rs. 12,400 per month till the two-year course is completed.
