What is GATE Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Syllabus?

The GATE Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Syllabus 2024 is the list of topics that are asked for the particular discipline in the GATE exam. Naval architecture is a discipline of engineering concerned with the design and building of naval vessels such as ships, yachts, steamers, tugboats, and other types of vessels, as well as naval yards and harbor constructions. Marine engineering, on the other hand, is concerned with the functioning of naval boats, including their engines and steering mechanisms, as well as the maintenance and repair of these components.

Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering is one of the new papers introduced. The GATE Marine Engineering syllabus 2024 comprises five sections namely-

  • Engineering Mathematics
  • Applied Mechanics and Structures
  • Fluid Mechanics and Marine Hydrodynamics
  • Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering
  • Thermodynamics and Marine Engineering
