CSIR JRF GATE Fellowship: Check the Selection Process Step by Step!!!

The main objective of the CSIR Junior Research Fellowship is to offer a suitable PhD program for the GATE qualified engineering graduates, and GPAT qualified pharmaceutical graduates from AcSIR or in any other institution. These scholarships are only applicable in the CSIR Laboratories. JRFs selected under this program will have an excellent opportunity to work with CSIR scientists with state-of-the-art research and development facilities. The total duration of the program will be 5 years in which the candidate can plan to complete the doctorate. Candidates who have to pursue a PhD only receive a JRF-GATE fellowship, so there is no automatic exit after M.Tech. CSIR JRF GATE Fellowship 2021: Selection Process

• The selection of the JRF-GATE will be made by the CSIR laboratories after the selection procedural guidelines and an interview by the Committee properly constituted by the director.
• Recommendations duly approved by the director must be sent to the director, HRD, with all the necessary support documents (for example, copy of the opinion, GATE / GPAT scorecard, selection procedure, personal data of selected candidates, evaluation forms, DoB certificate, caste certificate, etc.).
• The CSIR-HRDG will issue an official award letter after the review and verification of relevant documents.
• The number of JRF-GATE scholarships awarded will not exceed 120 in a year. If the number of JRF-GATE scholarships awarded in one year is less than 120, then the remaining grants can be transferred to other laboratories during the next year with the approval of DG CSIR based on requirements.
• CSIR JRF GATE Fellowship will not be provided without the prior approval of CSIR- HRDG.
• Each CSIR laboratory that participates in the integrated M.Tech.-PhD program of AcSIR can award a maximum of 5 (five) scholarships within the framework of the CSIR JRF-GATE Scheme. CSIR laboratories participating in the integrated MTech doctorate program according to the data provided by AcSIR are as follows:
