CSIR JRF GATE Fellowship: Council of Science and Industrial Research (CSIR), India, is one of the premier national Research and Development (R&D) organizations that provide CSIR Research Fellowships and Associateships through the GATE fellowship programme. One of the most recent grants is CSIR’S JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (JRF) – GATE – CSIR Fellowship through GATE Score, which aims to promote academic excellence in CSIR labs and to generate great standards of science. CSIR JRF fellowship through the GATE scheme is applicable only in CSIR laboratories. Students, when awarded a CSIR JRF fellowship through GATE score have to get registered for PhD in any institution, including AcSIR. Engineering graduates with GATE qualifications interested in pursuing an Integrated MTech-PhD program can be registered in AcSIR only. One has to pursue a PhD only then a JRF-GATE fellowship is awarded, so there is no automatic exit after M.Tech.
