GATE CSE Paper Analysis 2022 - Highlights

The GATE examination 2022 for CSE was conducted in one shift by IIT Kharagpur, and there were 15 MSQ (Multiple Select Questions), 16 NAT (Numerical Answer Type), and 24 MCQ ( Multiple choice type) questions asked on the paper. Other GATE CSE Paper Analysis highlights are as follows.

  • The difficulty level of the GATE CS 2022 paper was Moderate to Tough.
  • Computer Networks carried the highest marks weightage in the examination.
  • Engineering Mathematics carried 6 marks, and Discreet Mathematics carried 9 marks.
  • General aptitude was not easy this time.
  • The Quantitative Aptitude questions were Moderate.
  • IIT asked more theoretical and conceptual questions in the paper this time.
  • More weightage was given to MCQs this year by IIT Kharagpur.
