Masters Strategy To Crack LIC AAO/AE Exam 2020

Let us here retain all the important topics, concepts, questions, formulas, etc which will definitely prove to be beneficial in the exam. The agenda of the success lies with the obvious statement that one should believe in himself/herself. If you are focussed and determined enough things will fall into the right places. Work on your calculation speed, accuracy and time management. Make sure you solve the maximum number of questions as you can.

Important Note: Marks obtained in the English language will be qualifying and they will not be added for drawing the cut off list although students will have to score minimum qualifying marks in the aforesaid section as decided by LIC. Cut off marks will be decided on the basis of the marks scored in Quant section and English section.

Strategy for Quantitative Aptitude section

Check the list of the important topics to be covered in the Quant section:

  • Simplification
  • Number Series
  • Data Sufficiency
  • Approximations
  • Quantity Based Questions
  • Data Interpretation
  • Miscellaneous topics like (SI, CI, Speed &Time, Mixtures and allegations, Profit and Loss, Time and Work, Averages, Ages, Ratio, etc.)
  • Quadratic Equations

How to attempt questions in quant section:

  • You must attempt easy to complex topics like Simplification, Approximation, Quadratic equation, data interpretation, etc.
  • After that, proceed with the questions like number series, quadratic equation, etc.
  • Sometimes DI is of easy to moderate level. If it is moderate or lengthy attempt it at the last or if you are very good at solving DI you can attempt the questions in the beginning as well.
  • Questions will not be very tricky and candidates with clear concepts would easily solve the questions.

Important Tips 

  • There will be a total of 35 questions in the quant section.
  • You will be given only 20 minutes to attempt the questions.
  • You can try attempting this section in two parts. In the first part, attempt questions on the topics like Approximation or Simplification, Quadratic equations, Number Series, and Data Interpretation. If you attempt the questions with 100% accuracy, you can easily fetch 10-15 marks. 
  • Now in the second part, solve remaining questions those are based on Arithmetic topics (SI, CI, Speed &Time, Profit and Loss, Time and Work, Averages, Ages, Ratio, etc.) & DI. This part can help you score 12-15 marks easily.  
  • If you adopt the above-mentioned strategy in the exam, you will surely score 25-30 marks in the examination
  • Keep a check on your speed and accuracy. Solve as many questions as you can while preparing, this will help you clear all the topics/concepts. Practice one mock test daily, analyze your weak areas and improvise on them.

  • If you are good at reading part you can start your exam with vocabulary.
