The LIC AAO AE Specialist Mains exam pattern 2020 comprises a descriptive test that carries a total of 25 marks and an objective test that carries a total of 300 marks. Amidst all the segments that form the LIC AE AAO Exam Pattern 2020, the marks scored in the English language segment will not be taken into consideration for determining the rankings of the candidates. The English Language segment of the exam is only qualifying in nature. Sectional timings have been introduced this year. This means that the candidate must complete answering all questions of a single section in the given stipulated time. The current affairs and general awareness section have been added to the LIC AE AAO Exam 2020 as per the LIC AE AAO New Exam Pattern.
The candidates who qualify for the LIC AE AAO Specialist Mains exam will be asked to appear for the third stage of selection that comprises a personal interview. The marks that the candidates shall obtain in the Mains exam shall only be taken into consideration while shortlisting candidates for the round of personal interviews.
To determine the ultimate merit of a candidate, the candidate’s score in the Mains exam along with their score in the LIC AE AAO Specialist personal interview shall be considered. The personal interview carries a total of 60 marks. The qualifying marks for the candidates from the SC/ST and PwBD category are 27 and for the candidates belonging to other categories is 30 marks. For the personal interview, the number of candidates that shall be asked to appear shall be three times the number of vacancies announced.
After the candidate has successfully sailed through all the facets of the LIC AE AAO Exam Pattern 2020, crossed all the stages of the LIC AE AAO Selection Process, and made it to the merit list, the candidate is required to undergo a pre-selection medical examination.
