What are the Different Steps of Resource Planning?

There are three different steps of resource planning, and the first step includes, the preparation of the inventory resources. The second step is about evaluation in terms of availability for development. The third step includes planning for the exploitation of resources. Resource planning is a skill of the best utilization of resources. The resources are limited and it is distributed unevenly across the country, which is why resource planning plays a crucial role.

Different Steps of Resource Planning

As we have mentioned above, there are 3 major steps of resource planning-

  1. Preparation of inventory resources- Here the surveying, measurement, and mapping of properties and characteristics of resources take place.
  2. Evaluation in terms of availability of development- It includes developing a planning structure with the right technology, and institutional set-up for executing the resource development plans.
  3. Planning for the exploitation of resources- It is about action-oriented planning that puts an emphasis on the use and reuse of the resources.
