Different Steps of Resource Planning
Resources are limited and unevenly distributed throughout the country, which is why resource planning plays an important role. As we mentioned above, there are 3 major stages of resource planning:
- Preparation of Inventory Resources: Here the properties and characteristics of resources are surveyed, measured, and mapped.
- Evaluation in terms of availability of development: This involves developing a planning structure with the right technology and institutional arrangements for implementing resource development plans.
- Planning for exploitation of resources: It is about action-oriented planning which emphasizes on use and reuse of resources.
Resource planning is a strategic approach that ensures the most effective use of resources within a single project or portfolio of tasks. Organizations can achieve maximum efficiency when resources are implemented properly and with the better optimization of resources, without over or under utilization of any one resource.
