What are Physical Barriers in Communication?

A physical barrier is an element that intervenes in the communication between sender and receiver through artificial and inartificial factors which also lead to misinterpretation of the message. In the corporate field, physical barriers may lower the efficiency of employees. A few major examples of physical barriers are noise, message distortion, technical difficulties, time, distance, and excess information.
