Article 370 Removal Date

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janta Party have consistently opposed Article 370 because it has resulted in a conflict between India and Pakistan (related to Kashmir). They call for the fusion of Kashmir with the rest of India.

However, there have been numerous controversies as a result of this decision, leading many Kashmiris to believe that the government intended to alter the demographics of the state by allowing outsiders to purchase land there.
