Barindra Kumar Ghosh founded Yugantar (sometimes spelled Jugantar). Sri Aurobindo’s younger brother, Barindra Kumar Ghosh, was an Indian journalist and revolutionary. One of the two primary secret revolutionary movements that worked in Bengal for Indian independence was called Yugantar. Like Anushilan Samiti, this organization also started as a suburban health club.
