Poverty alleviation is the term given to the activities carried out by following certain steps from an economic and human point of view to remove poverty from the country.

Poverty alleviation has been one of the most important agendas of the Government of India for many years. Many factors play a major role in creating poverty in the country, such as unemployment, lack of education and awareness, large population, and lack of economic empowerment.
