ACP Full Form

The full form of ACP is Assistant Commissioner of Police. ACP is only employed by the Indian police in metropolitan areas, while DSP is used elsewhere. Officers in this rank may be employed by the state police services or the national Indian Police Service. In contrast, a specific state police service always employs those in lower ranks.

SP Full Form

The full form of SP is Superintendent of Police. SP is a senior rank in the Indian Police Service (IPS). An SP is in charge of smaller districts.
