The factors that affect the climate of a place are Latitude, elevation, the proximity of water, ocean currents, topography, vegetation, and prevailing winds. India has a wide range of climates, from tropical to snowy in winter in some regions. It is generally widely accepted that human activity affects climate, although the effects vary depending on where you are. For example, it appears that changes are occurring more rapidly at the poles than in many other places. Therefore, many factors influence the climate of a place.

Latitude, latitude, relief, ocean currents, topography and winds, and an area’s distance from the ocean are the major variables affecting an area’s climate. The climate of an area is influenced by the latitude at which it is located. Since the equator receives most of the direct sunlight, the region of this latitude experiences an extremely hot climate. At latitudes above and below the equator, the poles receive no or oblique rays because they receive less direct sunlight.

The relief of a place significantly affects its climatic conditions. The rain shadow region does not receive rainfall, while the other region is due to the mountains, which receive a lot of rainfall. Because the temperature drops as you climb higher, with a drop of one degree Celsius for every 166 meters of altitude. Therefore plains are warmer than mountains.
