In India, there are four seasons namely Summer, Winter, Spring, and Autumn. Seasons are recognized by meteorologists in India. Many things in India are affected by the seasons. There are several things, ranging from festivals to agriculture.

Number of Seasons in a Year
The seasons in India change due to the changes in the elements of weather such as temperature, pressure, wind direction, humidity, velocity, precipitation, etc. As discussed, there are four seasons in India.
- Winter Season: It arrives in northern India by mid-November. December and January are the coldest months in the northern plains.
- Summer Season: In March, the sun moves closer to the Tropic of Cancer. In northern India, the summer months are April, May, and June.
- Spring Season: This season brings a new harvest as several types of flowers spring up along with various kinds of vegetables. The temperature is war, and slight rains can be expected in this season.
- Autumn Season: This season is alternatively called the ‘fall’ in most parts of the world. It witnesses the falling of old leaves from trees which gives way to new leaves. It comes just before the winter season is about to arrive.
