OPSC OCS OAS Prelims Exam Analysis 2020

Like any other State exam, the OCSE Prelim 2020, the questions asked in Paper I was more factual than conceptual. The question paper has touched upon almost all the areas of the prescribed syllabus. The intent of the analysis is to give you an insight into the number of questions asked from each topic and also the difficulty level.

  • The topics from which the questions appeared were – History of India +INM, Geography, Indian Polity and Governance, Economy and Social Development, General Science, and Environment & Ecology.
  • Broadly, the paper was very factual, and the majority of the questions came from the Static GK than the current segment. Anyone who has been focusing on the basics throughout his/her preparation could have attempted well.
  • But the good aspect is that the questions were focused on the topics that are from General Knowledge covering pan-India, as the Odisha specific GK was very few. So, it is a very good chance for the aspirants who are preparing for UPSC CSE and exams like that.
