JKPSC Exam Pattern 2021

Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) Exam 2021 is a state-level examination conducted for aspirants seeking job opportunities in the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services, Police Services, and Accounts Services. The exam is conducted annually by JKPSC and is conducted in three stages, namely, prelims, mains, and interviews. Candidates clearing all eligibility criteria can apply for the JKPSC Exam 2021 online via JKPSC’s official website, www.jkpsc.nic.in. JKPSC KAS Selection Process 2021

As per the new notification released by JKPSC the updated JKPSC KAS selection process involves two written exams viz, prelims and mains, and an interview. The prelims exam is conducted for all who have applied for the JKPSC recruitment. After clearing the prelims candidates are called for the mains exam. The interview is conducted for all who had cleared the mains exam. JKPSC Exam 2021 shall be conducted in three stages. These include 

  • Phase 1: JKPSC Prelims
  • Phase 2: JKPSC Mains
  • Phase 3: JKPSC Interview

JKPSC KAS Prelims Exam Pattern 2021

The JKPSC Prelims is the first stage of the JKPSC 2021 exam. The preliminary examination contains two exams, both of which contain objective-type questions (Multiple-choice questions). The medium of the question paper for the JKPSC prelims will be English. As per the JKPSC KAS Prelims Exam Pattern 2021, The total duration of both question papers will be 2 hours each. There will be no negative marking (deduction of marks from the total score) for incorrect answers.

The detailed JKPSC Prelims Exam Pattern is given below.

  • Paper 1 of the prelims is based on General Studies. The questions included may be from the topics of General Science, current affairs, Indian politics and economy, mental ability, etc. The total marks that can be obtained on Paper 1 are 150.
  • Paper 2 of the prelims will contain questions from the subject of the candidate’s choice. The maximum number of marks that can be obtained on Paper 2 is 300. The content of the optional courses will be of the corresponding degree level. The optional subjects include:

JKPSC Mains Exam Pattern 2021

JKPSC Main Examination is a series of tests containing 8 written tests and a Personal Interview session. Only those candidates who clear the Prelims exam will be eligible to attend the Mains examination. The total mark for the entire Mains exam is 2250. The questions will be descriptive in nature.

  • There are three stages in the JKPSC KAS exam. The stages are prelims, Mains and Interview.

  • Yes, there is an interview round after the completion of all 8 papers of the JKPSC Phase-II exam. The performance in the interview will also be taken into account while calculating the ranks in the final merit list.

  • Only the candidates who have cleared the prelims exam with sufficient marks will be eligible to attend the JKPSC Mains exam.

  • There are 2 papers in the JKPSC JAS Prelims exam. The papers are General Studies and Optional Subject.
