TNSET Eligibility 2022: University has released the eligbility criteria for the Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test. Check the TNSET Age Limit, Educational Qualification, and reservation for the candidates before the application form submission.

TNSET eligibility is released by the conducting authorities, including age limit, educational qualification, and applicable reservation policies. If you plan to take the exam, you must satisfy all the eligibility requirements. If you are ineligible, your candidature will be canceled anytime during the exam. Aspirants who had scored the 55% in their master's degree or equivalent from a recognized university are eligible for the TN SET exam. The exam is conducted for 26 subjects across the state. TNSET Eligibility Criteria 2022

Annamalai University has prescribed the eligibility criteria for the TNSET exam through the official notification. The TNSET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the assistant professor posts. To apply for the TNSET exam, the candidates must meet the TNSET eligibility criteria. The candidate's candidature will be canceled if they fail to meet the eligibility criteria. So, here are the detailed TNSET exam eligibility conditions, including the details of educational qualifications and the age limit for the TNSET exam.

TNSET Age Limit 2022

The university has not prescribed any age limit for the aspirants. Any otherwise eligible candidate can apply for the eligibility test at any age.

TNSET 2022 Educational Qualification

The eligibility criteria for TNSET 2022 will be stipulated together with the issuance of the test application form. We provide eligibility criteria based on last year. Before filling out the application form, candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria. If any candidate is not eligible to take the exam, they will lose the opportunity to qualify as an assistant professor.

  • At least 55% of the marks without rounding off at the master's level (or equivalent grades on the point scale) will be the basic qualification for directly hiring teachers of any level and other cadres with equivalent qualifications.
  • A relevant qualification equivalent to 55%, as long as an accredited university follows the scoring system, will also be considered valid at the master's level.
  • Candidates studying for a master's degree or taking the Master Qualification Examination (the last year) and whose results are still expected or whose qualification examination has been postponed can also apply for the exam.
  • Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Postgraduation only.
  • Candidates of non-general categories should mention their social status on the online application form. When uploading the application, candidates should refer to the Community Certificate and Disabled-related Certificates (VI/HI/PH) and other documents. They must meet the qualification requirements.

TNSET 2022 Reservation Policy

Check the various relaxations in the TNSET exam 2021 to the reserved category. Candidates must check the TN SET Syllabus after eligibility.

  • A relaxation of 5 % is provided to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and PWD category students.
  • The same relaxations apply to the third-gender candidates.
  • Doctor Degree holders who completed the masters level exam before September 19, 1991 (regardless of the date results are announced) must be eligible to relax 5% of the total score (i.e., 55% to 50%) of appearing on the TNSET exam.

  • Anyone with a master's or equivalent degree with a minimum score of 55% marks in the qualifying exam for the general category and 50% marks for all reserved category candidates to qualify for the TN SET exam.
