MPPSC Syllabus 2023 is released in two parts for the Prelims and Mains exams. The syllabus is also available in PDF form to download. Candidates should check the subject-wise latest MPPSC Syllabus in English and Hindi for better understanding.

MPPSC Syllabus 2023 is released along with the notification PDF by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) for State Services Examination (SSE). Candidates appearing for the MPPSC exam must have an in-depth knowledge of its syllabus and exam pattern. The syllabus is segregated into three major sections, Prelims, Mains, and Interview.

It is of prime importance for the candidates to be conversant with MPPSC Syllabus for Prelims Paper 1 and 2 to qualify for the exam. MPPSC Prelims syllabus has two papers, General Studies, and General Aptitude. On the other hand, the Mains syllabus has a total of 6 papers. Four are General Studies papers, while the rest two are Hindi and Hindi Essay papers. There is no optional subject in the MPPSC syllabus.

MPPSC Syllabus 2023

MPPSC Syllabus comprises two major stages - Prelims, and Mains. An interview is also conducted for those who clear the Mains exam. While the Prelims stage carries 200 marks for two papers, the MPPSC Mains is for 1400 marks. An interview shall also be conducted for 175 marks.

MPPSC Syllabus For Prelims

MPPSC Prelims is the first stage of the MPPSC selection process. The MPPSC Pre Syllabus consists of two papers- Paper-1 and Paper-2. Paper 1 is General Studies in which questions from subjects such as History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, and other subjects are asked. On the other hand, Paper 2 is the General Aptitude paper in which the questions from Mathematics of the 10th level, Reasoning, English Language Decision Making, etc., will be given importance.

MPPSC Syllabus for Paper 2

MPPSC Prelims syllabus for Paper 2 is General Aptitude Test, where the candidates are expected to know basic logical reasoning, mental ability, elementary mathematics, etc. The following topics are included in the MPPSC syllabus of General Aptitude.

The syllabus for MPPSC Mains - GS 2 will have two papers. On the other hand, the 2nd paper of MPPSC GS 2 paper shall cover Economics and Sociology topics.

MPPSC Syllabus for Hindi Essay - Paper 6

The final paper for MPPSC Syllabus is Paper 6 (Hindi Essay). The candidates must write 3 essays in Hindi on important issues such as Environment, Science, Education, E-Commerce, E-Marketing, etc. The total mark for this paper is 100 marks, where the marks are segregated for the three essays the candidates will be writing.

MPPSC Syllabus For Interview

The interview is the last stage of the MPPSC selection process. The candidates who obtain the required MPPSC cutoff will be asked to appear for the interview/personality test. Every candidate who qualifies for the Mains will be eligible for the Interview, as the merit list shall be decided on the marks obtained by the candidate in Mains and Interview.

The MPPSC SSE interview aims to test whether the candidate is responsible for carrying out a PCS officer's duties. A candidate's mental ability and behaviors shall be tested through it. Therefore, this is an important part of the MPPSC syllabus which should be prepared in the best possible way.
