MP Civil Court Judge Selection Process 2022

MP Judiciary exams for civil court judges follow a multi-layered examination pattern. The first round is the preliminary round, then comes the Mains, lastly, the personal interview round. Each round holds equal importance in making the final decision. Therefore, you will have to qualify for each of these rounds to become a part of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

Stage 1 – Prelims

Prelims are the first stage of this prestigious examination. Prelims is a computer-based examination that has 150 questions.

  • Each question consists of 1 mark.
  • You will be given 2 hours to answer these questions.
  • There is no negative marking at this round.
  • The main aim of conducting a preliminary test is to screen out candidates.
  • In prelims, some of the questions are asked from the constitution of India, Indian contract act, current affairs, Penal code act, Indian penal code, and various other topics.
  • In addition, there are questions to test your knowledge of computers and the English language.

According to the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission cut-off, if your score is more than 45% of the total marks, you qualify for the mains round.

Stage 2 – Mains

Mains is the next stage of the MP Judiciary examination. Mains have four different papers in it, namely –

  1. Constitution, civil laws, and procedures
  2. Translation, essay, and composition
  3. Local law, criminal law, and procedures
  4. Judicial verdict writing

For all these four papers, you will get 3 hours each. Mains is the most important examination as it contains 400 marks weightage. The main examination is conducted over two days with two shifts per day. To get to the next level, you will have to score 60% or more than 60% on your mains.

Stage 3 – Personal Interview

The personal interview round is held to test your communication skills and personality. The personal interview is conducted for a total of 50 marks. After completing this round, aggregate marks will be calculated, and accordingly, the MP Judicial results will be declared.
